So many unanticipated issues with switching my student’s writing from Microsoft Word to Google Drive. When the computer lab is unavailable my students have to disperse and work around the school. The versions of Explorer we have installed on most of the network units are not Drive friendly.
Today we tried to use iPads. This was a fail because the Drive app seemed to require the students to log in. I have a class account but the particular files they were using were located on my Drive account. When I set this up for next year this will not be a problem. I will make sure all their documents are in the classroom drive. In addition, we are getting hardware/software upgrades of Explorer.
Their collaborations are working better this week. They are really responding to my comments. I am pleased with the process.
